Some Things You Should Know

First, thank you for all the words of encouragement after my last blog post. I was overwhelmed (in a good way!) by all your texts, emails, Facebook messages and Twitter replies. I am excited about this new chapter in my life --- being an entrepreneur.
Recently, I read an article that said a record number of Americans (about 1/3) are now freelancers. Think about it. That's more than 57 million Americans who don't have the traditional 9-5 job with cushy benefits and paid time off. They're innovative entrepreneurs, resourceful business owners, skillful networkers.
These people built America. I'm ecstatic to build upon their contributions.
To start, I've established my own business --- Jon Street Media --- that I will use to showcase all of my content across various media outlets. Currently, I regularly contribute to RedState, Accuracy in Media, Daily Caller and Red Alert Politics. In the coming days and weeks, I'll announce even more partners who will begin publishing my work.
In addition to articles on these sites, I'll post regular updates here as well as on Medium. If you're not already familiar, Medium is a platform that allows readers interested in a variety of topics to well, read. No banners, no popups. Just quality content from authors who aim to serve you --- not advertisers or corporate bosses.

While I will certainly focus much of my attention on blogs and articles moving forward, this isn't the only type of content I'll be producing.
I am blessed to live in one of the most beautiful cities in the world --- Washington, D.C. The architecture here, as you know, is breathtaking. I also have the opportunity to travel on occasion to other truly scenic places, both rural and urban, so I have decided to showcase my photography as well.
