Hiii, welcome to Wednesday!
Although it is shaping up to be a long week, we are one day away from March, and I feel like it's been February 23rd for a week now - don't ask me why because I don't know.
This week is an interesting news week for a few reasons that we will get into in this post.
First and obviously foremost is the highly anticipated second Trump-Kim Summit in Hanoi, Vietnam. It's been widely and completely covered by the media. There have been some interesting "fun facts" given leading up to today and tomorrow of the summit including the fact that Kim Jong-Un has an entire few floors to himself in the hotel he's staying at. He also has control over the WiFi.
The other cool and interesting fact about this summit, which is honestly really beautiful and puts things in perspective, is how excited and thankful the Vietnamese people are to have the American president in their country. Vietnamese is a communist country, and they really are looking for peace.
Politics aside, it really does help us re-focus on what we're fighting for here, which - in this summit's case - is peace, prosperity, transparency, and open dialogue.
The other interesting news is that "former Trump fixer" as the media likes to call him, Michael Cohen is testifying on Capitol Hill during the exact days that Trump is out of town. Time will tell what will be discussed, but he is there. Even though he's already been there and is serving time because he lied to Congress the last time he testified.
Friday's post will cover the summit, breaking news during the Cohen testimony, and anything else newsworthy.
