Trump Sends Troops to the Border

Although President Trump isn't concerned with my concerns regarding his plans with the military, I'm not sure about him sending 2,000 to 4,000 troops down to the U.S.-Mexico border.
Here's how it doesn't directly affect me, but it does my home (possibly indifferently, but that's not the point) - former governor Rick Perry sent 1,000 Texas' National Guardsmen down to the border during the summer of 2014. Only 100 remain there in recent times.
Before we send another squad of troops, who are probably ready to defend the border with a patriotic mindset and an angry focus, let's figure out if sending our soldiers south is the most productive action.
So that no one misunderstands me, there aren't many people in this country who back and support our American Armed Forces more passionately than I do. They risk their lives selflessly and with more bravery than I could ever dream of doing so. In my opinion, their families could qualify for sainthood for supporting them and holding down the fort at home.
According to a Fox News article posted Thursday morning, his plans to send troops to the border are "in an effort to stop what his administration called an "unacceptable" flow of drugs, criminal activity and illegal immigrants."
Maybe this whole time we were lacking armed forces as protection from criminal activity and illegal immigrants.
We'll see how this improves California, Texas and Mexico.
