4 Ways to Spring Clean

It's a little late in the spring for spring cleaning, but better late than never! Below are a few ways to replenish your home or even just your room and closet.

CLOTHES:

Now is the perfect time to throw out those winter clothes you "thought you might wear," but never actually did. As long as you're realistic with yourself, you might be able to donate some springtime and summer clothes you know you'll never wear either.

Bedding:

I try and wash my sheets if not every week then at least twice a month. Sometimes I lose track of time and then it has been way too long since I washed my bedding. But if you are on schedule for your sheets, then maybe it's time to wash your comforter or the pillow case for any throw pillows you might have.

Lotions and make up:

If you are a woman and tend to allow old mascara tubes, compact powders or old lotions to linger, now is the time to throw that away. Mascara only lasts about three or fourth months anyway. I use my compact powders up before it gets old enough to throw it away. However, I am guilty of allowing old lotions to take up cabinet space. If it's not lotions for you then maybe it's perfumes or body sprays. Those take up more space in our bathrooms than we realize and it feels so much nicer when they are thrown away.

Dust/Sweep and Mop:

Maybe I'm not a deep cleaner as much as I should be, but I go way too long without doing some serious deep cleaning of surfaces I use every day. If you can relate, now is the time to deep clean your carpet, dust your desk, blinds and nightstand and floors.

Hopefully these simple cleaning ideas help freshen up your home and make you feel cleaner for the summer!
