The royal wedding is upon us. Don't get me wrong, I think the Royal family - Princess Kate Middleton and Prince William are adorable. I think the history behind their family is interesting. I think Prince Harry and Megan Markle's story is also interesting. I find it awesome that both prince's married commoners and their families didn't find it outrageous.
With that said, this second royal wedding of our time has been so drawn out that I was beginning to think this couple's big day has already come and gone.
It hasn't, in fact, Prince Harry and soon-to-be Princess Megan will join as one on May 19. According to the Washington Post, there are a few unique traditions or non-traditions we can look forward to.
Children:
Of course, Prince Harry has a niece and two nephews now. So, if you plan on tuning into the coverage, you can expect to see tiny feet running around.
Pleasant aromas:
According to the post, "when you're rich and famous, people go out of their way to to do things for you. A royal family favorite will create a custom scent that is supposed to be warm and citrusy."
"Bride-first procession":
In tradition weddings, usually the bridesmaids and groomsmen take the aisle before the bride does. For this wedding, Markle will walk first and the bridesmaids will follow.
Music:
If you are new to this wedding, Markle is an American actress who starred in USA's "Suits" and quit her job on the show to marry the Prince. According to the Post, "In lieu of the "Suits" theme song, couple has decided to go with live music and a choir led by the St. George's chapel music director.
Bouquet:
There is royal tradition where the bride will place her bouquet on the grave of the Unknown Warrior at Westminister Abbey.
There are a few more details that will take place on the big day, but the information above seemed most interesting.
