Summer Class

The summer can be a grind depending on the way you choose (or are forced) to spend it.

If you are taking summer class whether it be in college or in high school - maybe you have to do summer school for some reason - here are a couple things to keep in mind.

It will be worth it:

If you're in college and are trying to get a few credits out of the way or are trying to graduate college at the end of the summer, the grind is worth it. It might be unfortunate right now, but keep going and you'll be thankful you didn't give up soon.

You can still have fun:

When you are young, summer is usually filled with days at the pool, weekends at grandparents', or summer camp. When you grow up, summer looks different. After you have worked hard in class and done all your homework, take some friends with you to the pool or a spend a Saturday at the lake. Just because you have to work overtime a little doesn't mean you can't enjoy yourself.

Getting priorities in order:

Sometimes for me, I enjoy getting myself organized and figuring out what I need to do next. Whether that looks like scheduling due dates out a month in advance, getting much needed vehicle maintenance out of the way or going grocery shopping. Sometimes we procrastinate on life and must force ourselves to get back on track.

Read a book:

I have found recently that reading is quite relaxing and one of the easiest ways not only to fall asleep quicker but also to clear the mind. If you force yourself to put your phone down and distance yourself from roommates or any other friends, 30 minutes can go by pretty quick when you take the time to read.

Hopefully these quick and easy ways will help you enjoy the summer season a little more.
