Dreams can be a hard thing to achieve. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication. As much hard work and willingness there is, there is that much if not more discouragement.
Some days those dreams feel achievable and nearby and other weeks they feel very far away and like they will take decades to achieve.
I was watching the Supreme Court Justice get nominated by President Trump on Monday night. Once the President finished introducing the new nomination of the Supreme Court, Judge Kavanaugh, the Judge told the country about his upbringing, what he enjoys doing in his free time and about his family.
He included that his wife, Ashley, was a native of Texas and had graduated with her law degree from the University of Texas. Being from Texas, myself, I was really excited to hear about this.
This was the same day I had spent hours applying to big jobs on the internet knowing those applications were probably going to a big pile of applications with other hopefuls. So, you can image how braindead and defeated I was feeling.
Well, the reason I got so excited to hear how close the nominated Justice's wife's hometown was to me was because I had just finished thinking about how much of a climb it would be to get hired at my dream job.
This lady with a law degree from Abilene, Texas, was standing next to the President of the United States of America in the White House in Washington D.C.
Regardless of your political affiliation, your feelings toward history, this country, celebrities, public figures, and everything else, standing next to the President in the White House is insane.
This week, Ashley, the wife of the new nominated Justice of the Supreme Court is my motivation to continue all the small fights to get one step closer to my dream.
Hopefully she can be your motivation to fight your fight. If not, hopefully you have something in mind to help finish out your week strong.
