Yay, we have made it to the half way mark of another week!
On Monday, I promised a break down of the Helsinki meeting between arguably the two most powerful leaders in the world. Insane as the idea of Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin to be in the same room is, it's more insane that there wasn't much to come of the meeting other than Trump bowing down to Putin.
The task of a breakdown was difficult because there is a lot to it. So, I had to bring in the person who explains complicated political webs the best in the least biased fashion.
According to Ben Shapiro, the meeting did not go well in the sense that the President sided with Russia. Shapiro believes most of the meeting was damaging.
Trump basically said in his press conference with Putin that America was at fault for the broken relationship between she and Russia. Saying America is at fault for the relationship is saying the opposite of "America first."
The part of the meeting that was damaging was when the President said his intelligence committee was wrong about Russia hacking. He took Putin's word over his employees working on the hack. Not good.
Putin is a dictator and a murderer and not someone the President of the United States should be siding with.
Shapiro said, "Putin saying he was trying to get Trump elected knows that will cause chaos in America. He knows it will cause anger within the American political system, which is what Putin wants."
Yes, a mess is what this is. We will see where it leads in the near future.
Take a look at my thoughts on the World Cup.
