Some Things To Remember

Regardless of how old you are, what you studied in college or what you choose to pay attention to when it comes to the media, television shows, pop culture, etc., there are a few things to keep in mind for all of those topics. I will go one by one.
The Media:
When I say "the media," I am referring any outlet to which you gain your news from - ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, CNN, The NYT, WaPo, Politico, The Conservative Review, Town Hall, ESPN, The Dallas Morning News - literally everyone has an agenda they follow on how their company covers the stories that they do. I'm not saying it's a good, bad or indifferent agenda, but I think it's a good time for a reminder that everyone covers their stories based on a plan they have for their viewers. You don't see the same news on ABC or FOX as you would for the Dallas Morning News. It's just a fact of the matter.
Television Shows:
This is sort of a big one because I must remind myself all of these reminders, but this one the most often. Television is make-believe, fake, pretend, not real. Much like music, television is sometimes based off real-life experiences and sometimes based off an imagination. It's also up to the people in charge of making the show what they choose to show on the small screen.
Pop Culture:
I hate to break it to you, but you are not going to lose 20 pounds in a week eating like Tom Brady, Jessica Alba, Jennifer Aniston, or look like Chris Pratt after two weeks at the gym - nor should you. These people have a team of people to help them look the way they do. Also, they have heartbreak and live their life much like we do minus paparazzi, drivers and beautiful Los Angeles weather around them.
The Government:
There are people who have a job within the federal government who play a bigger role in making decisions than we think. There are more people with influence than just Donald Trump, Kellyanne Conway, Ivanka Trump and Kristjen Nielson. These people who we see in the media a lot - or have been seeing them a lot more lately - have a team of about 10 people (or more) in their "office" who are only dealing with a small portion of issues. Sure, they are some of the people who make "executive" decisions based off the topic of the issue. Sometimes I must remind myself of the same fact that a lot of them are told what is going on. They are not personally dealing with the issues - they have people, who are on board with the agenda, dealing with the small day-to-day stuff. This could be the reason why there are so many leaks. Just between you and I: Donald Trump doesn't always run his Twitter either.
Just a friendly reminder.
