There is a lot we could discuss in this post, but we are going to focus on the simple reason of why John Brennan's security clearance is kind of a big deal. It may not be to the average American, but here is why it should matter, and what it exposes of our American government.

John Brennan is the former CIA director under the Obama administration. There are two reasons in the previous statement as to why it makes perfect sense for his security clearance to be revoked - he is the former CIA director. Former meaning no longer. He had that position under the Obama administration. We are no longer in the Obama administration. We are well into Gina Haspel's employment, who is now the (first female) CIA director.

I understand it takes time to sift through the people who are elected officials and get rid of those in office whose "agenda" and "goals" for the country do not align with the current administration.

Brennan wasn't in the headlines much before his security clearance was revoked, but that doesn't mean he wasn't doing harm. Regardless, he has no business with a security clearance when he no longer holds a government personnel position.

There was a Twitter user who made a good point about the news over Brennan's clearance basically wondering why Brennan was allowed access to the government after his employment was over because every other working citizen gives up their keys to the office on their last day.

I apologize as this was a bit of a rant and most people probably don't care about the news this specific person is causing, but this is the type of stuff that goes on behind closed doors. It is important to inform average Americans on as much government news as possible because we are literally paying government officials to do their job. The government is tax funded. I would appreciate knowing what my money is going toward and I am certain I am not the only one.
