Remember....

It is August 27 - the beginning of the last week of August. September will begin soon, which means fall is upon us. Here are a few things to remember as we gear up for another week and another month.
Finances:
If you are not doing well financially, a new week and shortly there after, a new month will come along for a fresh start. Start small - stop eating out, go to the grocery store for all your meal needs. Pay off a small portion of your credit card debt. Don't buy a new pair of shoes if you don't need them.
Christmas:
You might be thinking, "really? It's not even Halloween yet. Why are you talking about Christmas?" I am talking about Christmas because it comes every year, yet almost everyone I know tends to have a meltdown about how they aren't ready to start buying gifts because they don't know what to get and/or can't afford it. Start now - you don't need to necessarily begin buying gifts, but you can begin saving for them.
Lattes:
This needs its own category because they are that big of deal today. Pumpkin Spice Lattes are about to grace us with their presence again, but that doesn't mean you need one every morning for the rest of the year. We just discussed finances and saving for Christmas. If you feel the urge, then maybe limit yourself to one a week.
This was a random post, but it was a good time to remember the things we can control and not put so much focus on the part of life we cannot control.
There is plenty of news going on we could have discussed, but nothing that wouldn't be beating a dead horse. Just a few friendly reminders to do your best and think a little proactively as we approach the end of the year - or at least the most expensive part.
