Football, Friday Nights & Fall

What a week from Hurricane Gordon to hurricane (Kavanaugh) hearings, it's good to see Friday again.

Instead of D.C. drama, I thought we could discuss the wonderful world of the fall season.

As someone who passionately prefers warm weather over cold weather, there is something about crisp days, warm caffeinated coffee drinks and football that I am really looking forward to this year.

Today, I am going to share a few Friday Night activities for you and nearest and dearest as we look forward to the temperatures dropping.

Football:

It is officially football season at both the high school and professional level. Even though it is still muggy and humid outside for those games, it's a fun way to hang out with friends and cheer your favorite teams.

Bonfires:

Obviously you do not want to sit by a hot fire after a day in the hot sun, but once it gets a lot cooler outside, it's a relaxing way to unwind.

Shopping:

I realize we can shop literally all year around, but sometimes shopping for fall clothes is a lot more fun and cozy than shopping for dresses and swim suits. For women, it's about a new boot, scarf or coat. For men, it could be anything from a new pair of boots to new hunting apparel or even a new pair of jeans.

Candles and cooking:

People call Christmas time, the most wonderful time of the year and that might just be because of the camaraderie between our loved ones around the dinner table and a nice smelling fall candle lit in the living room.

It's been a year of growth and change and I am looking forward to crisp weather, fall-scented candles and football games.
