It's finally Friday! It's been an interesting week of news.
Obviously Hurricane Florence is making her debut rather quickly. The amount of people who have been told to evacuate is astonishing.
According to a report by the Associated Press, "more than 1.7 million people in the Carolinas and Virginia were warned to evacuate over the past few days, and the homes of about 10 million were under watches or warnings for the hurricane or tropical storm conditions."
News broke Thursday about Dianne Feinstein, a Democratic Senator from California, who requested the FBI look into a referral letter Feinstein was given claiming Trump's Supreme Court pick, Brett Kavanaugh, of sexual misconduct when he was in high school.
"The White House decried the move as a desperate, last-minute campaign to tear down a qualified nominee, and the FBI does not plan on investigating the matter," according to the Chicago Tribune.
Hurricane Florence is coming with a vengeance so anyone who is still in the path of the hurricane needs to either evacuate, or get somewhere safe. Continue listening to what officials are saying.
JSM will continue to report on anymore news that comes up regarding the hurricane, as well as the recovery that will take place after.
Good luck this weekend and the following days to come.
