Debates and Accusations

Since Friday, a weeks worth of events has happened.

At this point, the political game has become so overdone that it's quite humorous how far these people are willing to go. Not just that, but how much of a backbone republicans in the Senate Judiciary Committee lack.

I thought we were in trouble when the reason behind Ford's accusations had surfaced. Where the trouble lies is the mystery of when she will agree to testify. Since seven days ago, Ford and her legal team have denied a request to testify in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee FOUR times.

The day that has so far been agreed upon is Thursday at 10a.m. and it will be a public hearing so the media can go nuts about it all over again.

Let's back up to Friday night when Senator Cruz and Representative O'Rourke had their first of a few debates. Friday's debate was at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, moderated by a Gromer Jeffers Jr. from the Dallas Morning News and Julie Fine from NBC5 - a local news station in Dallas.

The debate was closed, but televised and there were tickets available and in return allowed what looked like a full auditorium of people.

It was a very tense debate. For Texans, since January, there have been yards covered in Beto (O'Rourke) signs. He campaigned in every county in Texas.

So, his name has been in yards, on vehicle windows, and on shirts of his supporters. I was so curious of who this "Beto" person was in the spring - before midterms got to be too serious - that I looked him up to see what he was running on.

Due to the fact that he had been campaigning so hard and he and Cruz have been going head-to-head in the headlines, tensions ran high and they answered every relevant question. Questions from this Kavanaugh controversy, to the anthem controversy, to taxes, O'Rourkes DWI scandals, the second amendment, etc.

Conservative media believes Cruz owned the debate and made O'Rourke look weak. I believe they both tried their best to answer the questions the best of their ability, but I am concerned with the outcome of that election.

As always, I will keep you updated throughout the week with anymore breaking news. Until then, happy Monday and have a great week!
