The Backbone Needed in November

Nothing comes as a surprise anymore. Some of this comes as a disappointment, but no one is surprised.
Since Monday, we have seen a revealing interview of Brett and Ashley Kavanaugh that showed how upset this family is of everything the Democrats have put them through. There is no doubt they know who is behind these allegations and they know the game being played. As Kavanaugh said over and over again, all he wants is to be heard and given a fair process. If you haven't watched it, I urge you to.
On Tuesday, thankfully there wasn't anything breaking, other than Trump not planning on meeting with Iran's president, that changes anything so far. There have been dozens of analyses, hit pieces, hot takes and commentary.
Basically, at this point, what every American needs to do and understand is that - regardless of how "political" you are - if you plan on participating in November's election, it has never been more imperative to pay attention to what is going on in the news.
I'm not saying this to say, "hey, you need to vote Republican and forget about everything else." No, what I'm saying is the Democrats are giving you a very clear picture of who they are and what they want. If what they are showing you - in broad daylight - is what you want, ie: lies, destruction, smear campaigns, self-righteousness and waste of money, then go vote for that if you please.
If you want honest values, your decision makers to stand up for what our founding fathers founded this country on, our rights as a nation, a respect for people who risk their lives for us when we don't really deserve it, then find the person who stands for that.
In my opinion, unfortunately, right now the people who claim to be "republicans" aren't really acting like it and they aren't really standing up for what they represent. They are letting liars get away with destruction and it is hard to watch. The Republicans in the Senate are allowing a family's life to be ruined because they won't stand up and say anything.
With that said, let us hope, but not hold our breath, for a testimony and a vote in the next few days for Judge Kavanaugh.
