I can't believe Friday is (dare I say it) already here!
If you are paying attention to the news even a little bit, it has been draining between Kavanaugh, China talks, midterm election season and everything in between.
This morning on Fox News's "America's Newsroom" with Sandra Smith and Bill Hemmer, they had a round table discussion with people who were qualified enough in their professional experience to participate in the conversation.
The topic was of whether the Kavanaugh conversation was good for the country as a whole. In my opinion, this is a fairly unbiased question, but can easily turn partisan.
I'm sure it will be a surprise to you when I say it has had its good and bad conversations - both productive and unproductive. In my own household, it has sparked conversation on social issues, questions on how the government works, speculation on what Trump's "next move" will be, etc.
Conversations about controversial topics are not a bad thing, some could argue. When it has come to Kavanaugh, there have been conversations on everything from the law/due process, social justice, what all this means for adolescents at home, feminism, and everything in between.
I don't think these conversations are necessarily bad until they become disruptive, offensive, or - even worse - violent.
If you are interested on where the vote stands with Kavanaugh, it is up to Murkowski (R-AR), Collins (R-ME), Flake (R-AZ), or Manchin (D-WV). There must be three out of four yeses for Kavanaugh to be confirmed. I believe the official decision will take place Saturday at 5pm.
