Five Reasons

We are half way through the week so I'm going to mix it up a little today. I bet you didn't know of something I talk about below.
First and foremost let's give a moment of silence as yesterday (Tuesday) was the 35th anniversary of the 1983 Beirut Barracks Bombing. In Lebanon, 220 Marines, 18 Sailors, and three Army soldiers lost their lives in the Marine Barracks at the Beirut Airport.
According to businessinsider.com, the attack was "the worst single-day loss for the service since World War II's Iwo Jima." The article explains that the "attack purportedly perpetrated by the Iranian-funded terrorist organization Hezbollah, was especially devastating for the US Marine Corps, which lost 220 service members."
I know you are surprised that yet another blog is about the government. Today I'm going to give you five reasons to help you decide who you are voting for in two weeks.
Number one: Being aware
Even if you are not interested in what's going on in American politics today, you should at least care enough about reality to be informed. Sometimes it's not about who did what, but it's about where your hard-earned money is going.
Number two: If you don't vote, you can't complain.
This philosophy has been around as long as our grandparents have been, and unfortunately not everyone lives by it. However, they should. A lot of people still believe their vote doesn't matter because it doesn't really count, but like I said a few posts ago, it does.
Number three: Socialism
The only people who gain from socialism are sick politicians. Literally no citizen gains a prosper life. If you wonder who exactly is running on a socialist campaign, listen to what they say about healthcare and taxes specifically. Or just look at Venezuela and Cuba for starters.
Number four: A nation for the future
Even though some of these elected officials eventually get voted out, it doesn't mean their policies do. Thankfully we're almost done making Obama's legacy vanish into thin air, but some of it is still in Washington. It's only because of how hard Trump and his administration are working that Obama's legacy has vanished so quickly.
Number five: Patriotism
This is my favorite reason and should probably be first in line, but this is the land of the free and home of the brave. Why wouldn't we want to do our best to keep America the actual most beautiful country in all of the land?! We must protect liberty at all costs - starting by electing healthy, freedom-fighting patriots into office.
Read it, share it, and hopefully it has fired you up for America to get yourself to the polls!
