There are strategies happening right now that are making it important to read between the lines.
Since the last couple days have been a world wind of news, I'm going to explain what's going on.
Caravan Crisis/Controversy:
There are 4,000 immigrants who have been traveling from countries like Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador to seek asylum. They have been in Mexico all week basically resting while some have decided to go home because they are tired or injured. There has been several days of speculation on whose idea it was to bring them to America. President Trump has sent numerous tweets advising this caravan to go back to Honduras because they are not welcome to come to America illegally.
Troops to Border:
After a couple days of talk about sending more troops to the border because of these immigrants, Department of Defense Secretary James Mattis has now authorized 800 additional soldiers to join the already 2,000 troops at the U.S.-Mexico border right now. It is my belief that while Americans probably want a lot of answers on troops to the border, the plan can't really be explained as a strategy for the caravan.
Package bombs:
As of Friday morning, there have now been around 12 pipe-bomb packages sent to prominent Democrat figures who have been very vocally critical on the President. The bombs were inactive. However, law enforcement officials needed to do their investigation to confirm they were harmless. No word yet on who sent the packages or where they came from, but the Associated Press and Fox News report that the region of interest is Florida.
Voting:
Obviously these times are very politically chaotic and sometimes hurtful words are said to those who don't believe the same as others. There is absolutely no doubt that the above stories running through the media right now have been planted because of the elections. Both sides are working like crazy to get themselves voted into office. That doesn't mean acts or words of violence should ever be permitted. No one's life should be on the line just because of a political opinion they have.
With that said, be sure to keep an open mind, be kind, be positive, stay informed, and grab a friend to go vote.
