Happy second of November and Happy Friday!

I was beginning to think of this week as a long one, but now it's Friday.... so maybe not.

First, today is the last day to vote early in Texas!!!

We've discussed quite a bit this week so let's end on a good note!

Gratitude is something that can be hard to have. You may know of people who are full of gratitude and always radiate joy. You may know people who are down and seem to always struggle, and can't catch their breath. There can be both people at that same time.

Today we are going to go over some ways to find time in the day to think about what you're grateful for. We are only given one life. We are in charge of how our life goes, and what happens to it. It's a pretty big job, but it can be a super fun ride if we have level heads about it.

Three Good Things:

If at some point in the day you are able to think of three good things that happened to you, you have already won.... especially if that thought is in the morning. If it's at night, then at least you are ending your night with a grateful heart.

Fun things:

The mundane tasks we do every day tend to make life.... well, mundane.... If we incorporate doing one or two things we genuinely enjoy

doing every day, we will find ourselves a little less stressed and a little more relaxed and happy.

People:

Our circle of influence does a lot for us and it's up to us to make their influence a positive one. It can *really* hard to let go of people who drain us, but it's important we keep a positive circle of friends who push us to be our best. Friends who cheer us up and are also around when we're down are special and should be kept safe.

Animals:

Any other day this part would be called "dogs" because I don't know many people who would disagree that dogs don't bring joy. Today we will wrap all the animals up into one in case you have another furry friend in mind. They really do relieve stress and anxiety, give us a friend, make us laugh, and do stuff with us.

Faith:

Personally, I always feel better after church. I feel more at peace, joyous, and calm. If you haven't been to church in awhile, it's never too late to start going. If you don't have a church, go with a friend, or find a sermon online. It always starts my week on the right foot.

Hopefully during this Thanksgiving season you are able to find yourself a little more thankful than previously.

Don't worry, next week we'll get back politics. Tuesday is Election Day!
