Whitaker's Ways

Thank goodness it's Friday, amirite?

Maybe I'm too invested in this whole swamp game, but I'm awfully intrigued by this Trump-Whitaker-vs-The-Dems game being played out before our eyes.

With that being said, let us meet our new acting United States Attorney General Matthew Whitaker of Iowa.

Several key points that are interesting to be aware of:

- He's been in the Washington game a long time: According to the Department of Justice, in June of 2004, he was appointed as the U.S. A.G. for the southern district of Iowa by President Bush while serving on a few different committees. Prior to that, he was a managing partner of a Des Moines law firm.

- Smart guy: Whitaker has an MBA and a bachelor's of arts from the University of Iowa

- According to the Daily Beast, "Before joining the DOJ, Whitaker was one of the biggest critics of Mueller’s probe, dubbing it “political” and criticizing its mere existence in numerous media appearances."

- Whitaker is also a very vocal critical of Hillary Clinton.

We shall see (probably pretty quickly) how all this unfolds in the next little while, but I thought some fun facts about the new addition would be good.

Y'all have a good weekend!
