Christmas Countdown

Welcome back! I hope you had a restful, food-filled, Thanksgiving holiday, and are either still with your family or are safely back at your house!

Now that Thanksgiving is over, the countdown to Christmas has officially begun. We are exactly 32 days from December 25.

Here are a couple things to keep in mind: your Mother is the most important person in your life - DO NOT FORGET TO BUY HER SOMETHING. Your Father works hard for you in more ways than one no matter what - he also deserves something for Christmas.

I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but visiting them for the holiday doesn't actually count, and neither does a Hallmark card. They literally are the reason you are a human being, and I've given you over 30 days notice of a reminder to get them something.

Now that we have that behind us, I'll get on another soap box. In the words of Financial Genius Dave Ramsey, "Christmas comes literally every year." So, the excuse of "not being financially ready for Christmas" doesn't work anymore. You knew it would be here.

Blast those Christmas carols, gather up a list of one or two things for each family member and get to budgeting for the next 20ish days to insure you will get this done.

There are a ton of sales happening for the next month including the ones happening today. Think outside the box, use Pinterest, ask the closest person to the family member you have in mind what they might like. There are a bunch of ways to make sure you get your family a little something special that is inexpensive and makes everyone feel good.

Now that I've yelled and lectured at you through the keyboard, go forth and buy great things for the people you call family!
