The Good Stuff

Goodness - we made it, friends. It's Friday.
It's no secret that it's been a wild week of news. Stuff is flying everywhere, and literally everyone is trying to fit it all in, but it's a lot.
Those of us who follow the news close enough, and who understand what narratives, fabricated stories, etc. look like can sift through what is important to give attention to.
The following stories are what is important to give attention to at this point in the week with the link to the actual story:
- The Gary Sinise Foundation, founded by the man who famously played Lieutenant Dan in Forrest Gump, has sent 600 families - whose parent had passed away in military combat - to Disney for Christmas.
- JJ Watt, a defensive end for the Houston Texans and the person who raised millions of dollars for Hurricane Harvey relief for the people of Houston, has done another good deed for Christmas and the Navy SEAL Foundation. Basically for every pair of his "JJ Watt Shoes" line through Reebok, all the proceeds will "go directly to the Navy SEAL Danny Dietz Foundation. There is more information on his Instagram page if you're interested.
- Kid Rock paid roughly $80,000 (350 accounts) of Nashville layaway accounts.
Those are some pretty crazy-generous good deeds around this Christmas time. It's awesome to see seriously high-profile public figures/celebrities doing such intense good in this society!
I'm sure we will be reporting on more dysfunction come Monday. Until then, find some ways to recharge and push through another week right before Christmas.
One more reminder for today's post: don't forget to buy your parents a Christmas present!
