If the days of this month have become a blur to you, you are not alone. At this point, I'm doing well knowing what time it is and being in the correct place, physically.
We have been pretty news heavy with the blogs, but it's because there's a lot happening - as I said there would be. However, I did promise there would be "big breaking news." That news would be prison time for a few deserving elite politicians, which we are not seeing, yet.
So, instead, I'll stay away from news gossip and inform you on important actions happening.
Today, according to NPR (and Ivanka Trump's instagram), there was big approval by the Senate on a bipartisan Criminal Justice Reform bill - The First Step Act. The House should receive the bill soon.
This bill focuses on "providing more access to rehabilitation and training programs that are aimed at helping prepare prisoners for life after their release." The bill will "require that prisoners be incarcerated no more than 500 miles from their primary residence."
The story addresses a few more measures of the bill, which you are welcome to read at npr.com.
This is pretty exciting for the Trump Administration.
Good luck with the rest of your week!
