Christmas Weekend Update

Merry Christmas, my fellow Americans. You've only got a few more hours to get the rest of your presents wrapped! Get you some eggnog, or just coffee, and get it done!

I have a weekend update for you, and then I will leave you to enjoy your Christmas with your family!

Last we spoke, Mattis was resigning, and I was explaining that everyone was losing their minds. However, in all reality, none of it was really that bad.

Today, I can confirm that the government has indeed shutdown. (Oh my gosh - are you all right? I've survived so far!) Right, because a shutdown is not the end of the world.

Over the weekend, the president was a little dramatic on Twitter about who is on his side and who isn't. He made it clear that he was staying in D.C. and would not be going to Florida until he got funding for the wall.

I'm curious to see where he spends Christmas if his entire family is celebrating Christmas, as well as elected officials - what will he be doing? I bet we find out eventually.

Although, Patrick Shanahan has been appointed as the new acting DOD Secretary, and according to the media and the president, he will begin January 1.

According to an article at Fox News, "Shanahan is a business man who was the Boeing Company executive. He has been with this company since 1986. He oversaw the company's global supply-chain strategies and use of advanced manufacturing technologies."

He is an engineer with a degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology: a Master of Science degree in mechanical engineering, and an MBA from MIT's Sloan School of Management.

There are several other interesting facts about this new government official. I encourage you to read about him because it's all very interesting.

There was a lot of noise out there this weekend. More noise is coming. If you're a Trump supporter, enjoy the holidays with your family. Trust the process, trust the plan. If you are skeptical of what's going on, stay off the internet until the New Year.

There is a plan. The narratives, the tweets, the administrative movements are all a part of the plan. There is a method to the madness. Put your phone away and enjoy time with your family.

I sincerely hope you have a very Merry and joyful Christmas.
