Shut it down

We're halfway to the weekend!
Today seems like the first "real" Wednesday since the holidays.
In case you missed it, Tuesday evening President Trump had his first Presidential Address to the Nation addressing the border wall controversy, and moments later Leader Chuck Schumer and Speaker Nancy Pelosi "responded" to the president's words.
Unless you and your sphere of influence just aren't political, then your social media was covered with commentary and memes about the way Schumer and Pelosi looked - very stage, very fake, very robotic, very cringe to watch.
Mark Levin had a pretty solid take when he said, "it's the Democrat party over country." He was talking about Congress and their incredible unwillingness to cooperate at all with this compromise.
While Pelosi mentioned the 800,000 government workers who won't receive a paycheck while the government is shutdown, she didn't mention the communities on the border, healthcare, public schools, and law enforcement who have all been effected by this shutdown.
The reason is because they don't really care about any of that. They only care about themselves, power, money, and resisting Trump's agenda.
Hopefully that cleared up any confusion you may have had after watching or solely seeing social media posts.
On Wednesday, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein announced he would resign Acting Attorney General William Barr is confirmed.
In addition to that, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo made an unannounced trip to Egypt. Details on this story are to be determined.
Remember Trump will be in McAllen today. Details on how that goes will be on Friday's blog.
Have a good day!
