It's Monday! If you have Martin Luther King, Jr. Day off, then enjoy your day. If not, pour that coffee and have a good day!

Let's talk about the weekend because where the news is concerned, there was A LOT of commentary. I can't stand social justice politics because I think it goes along with political gossip and that's a waste of time.

The events that happened this weekend:

- Friday's March for Life: a pro-life march in Washington D.C. where they protest Roe v. Wade.

- Saturday's Women's March: Most years - a pro-choice march. This year, mostly a march about how horrible the president is and how many rights they *don't* have. <- I don't know, I'm confused, too. There's literally nothing men can do that women can't.

- Saturday afternoon: the president's highly-anticipated announcement - that could have been anything - was about a border wall/national security deal he had come up with in compromise to Nancy Pelosi's entourage.

- Sunday afternoon/night: Divisional round for the NFL. The Los Angeles Rams played the New Orleans Saints in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. The Rams won in over time. The Kansas City Chiefs and the New England Patriots played in Kansas City. New England beat Kansas City in over time with a touchdown. The Super Bowl match-up will be the LA Rams and the New England Patriots.

This will be the third Super Bowl in a row for the Patriots. Gladys Knight is scheduled to sing the national anthem, and Maroon 5 will play the halftime show.

Something else that happened Saturday that's important to shed light on was the funeral that happened. Four American troops that were killed in the Syrian ambush were laid to rest at Arlington Memorial Cemetery. All of us here at Jon Street Media thank them for their service and are keeping their families in our thoughts and prayers.

Lots going on in the country right now! Have a good Monday!
