State of the Union

We're halfway there! Thank goodness for mostly warm(er) weather. Last week's weather was wild!

Unfortunately I didn't get to watch the program because I had to work, but there was plenty of coverage and analysis over the whole deal so I feel like I watched it.

As expected last night's State of the Union is the talk of the country. Those who support President Trump think he had his best speech ever. Those who don't are really angry because he sounded good talking about everything his haters hate.

The president had a few really strong moments - when he said, "America will never be a socialist country." When he said, "the state of our union is strong." And when he said asked Congress to pass a bill to end late term abortions.

These are just to name a few.

There was a lot of hostile looks toward the president from congress members including Alexandria Ocosio-Cortez and Bernie Sanders.

Aside from many of his strong moments, he also included points about ending the Special Counsel's investigation, and he announced another summit with Kim Jong-Un in Vietnam on February 27-28.

Nancy Pelosi sat behind the president, shook her head, and winced at all the president's accomplishments.

On that same note, according to 2016 campaign manager, John Podesta, Hillary Clinton won't be running for president in 2020.

So, there's that.

More on the week on Friday!
